Investment Accounting Manager - Run investment accounting & fin statements for pension/health fund. Work with board, auditors & fund managers. Public accounting experience required. Work remotely 4+ days per week. All benefits paid & 23 days PTO. 100 employees at headquarters and most have been there for 7+ yrs. Philadelphia Main Line location.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for investment accounting and assisting the controller with the preparation of the financial statements for multiple funds including Health, Pension and Annuity/401k in accordance with guidelines established by GAAP. This role is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and providing quarterly financial investment information for the Trustees’ meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the timely and accurate verification and reconciliation for all monthly investment trading activity recorded in a third party financial services platform. This includes reconciling ending investment holdings, market values, and income into the general ledger for Health, Pension fund, 401K/Annuity Fund.
Preparing and posting monthly investment accounting journal entries
Responsible for completing required quarterly and annual statutory investment schedules
Prepare monthly investment income, realized gains(loss) and balance sheet fluctuation for analysis
Prepare quarterly investment management fee allocation for all funds
Compiling and organizing investment reports and K-1
Provide quarterly investment information for the Trustees’ meeting.
Work with the Funds' external auditors and assist with preparation and coordination with other members for client assisted schedules
Working closely with Controller and external auditors to ensure compliance and preparation of regulatory filings including 5500, IRS forms including 990 and 990T, and FIN CEN report 114
Special projects as needed
Update fixed asset records monthly
Approve investment management fees, prepare wire payment instructions and journal entries
Position Qualification
Education Required/Preferred: Bachelors in Accounting required
Experience Required/Preferred: Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in accounting. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Public Accounting required. Experience with Benefit Accounting or investment accounting preferred.
