CEO --- Southern California CPG Company

We seek a Chief Executive Officer to lead a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company headquartered in Orange County, California.  The company supplies body care products and cosmetic primarily to US and Canadian big box retailers and drug stores with some international sales.  Products are sold using a combination of company brands and customer private label.  Gross sales are approximately $100 million.  The company sources primarily from Asian suppliers.  Operations include a distribution center in Southern California which has some assembly and packaging functionality, as well as offices in Southern California and China.  The company has roughly 100 employees, most in the US.

The candidate should have experience as a President or CEO of a stand-alone business (with full P&L responsibility).  Helpful but not required is CPG experience selling into the big box retailers.  The CEO would be supported by a team of direct reports.  The new CEO will focus on growing the company, both organically and through acquisitions.  This is a permanent position (not interim), however, the private equity owners will eventually seek an exit.
