Director - Training
Continue the re-vitalize training at 1,500 employee financial services firm founded in 80s located in southwest Mississippi. The firm is one of the most profitable in its sector of financial services in the US. Own training and make it one of your proudest professional accomplishments. Hybrid schedule geared toward 3-4 days in the office but determined when hired. Total compensation potential up to $115k area (Salary - $80k to $90k + targeted bonus - $15 to $25k). Because the bonus portion is high, the client will consider a sign-on bonus or guaranteed first-year bonus of up to $35k. Paid relocation.
Summary
This executive will work to design, develop, and implement effective employee training to produce a more efficient and effective workforce. This executive will also manage and coordinate organization-wide efforts to ensure that performance management is developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned with the ongoing strategic imperatives of the firm. This executive will also deliver the training and be highly involved one one-on-one with employees and their training needs and address any training deficiencies.

Advocates for superior training throughout all functions of the company
Responsible for ensuring that all employees in the company are trained to be proficient in all of their job duties.
Recognize training needs as they occur. Design and implement training to address those needs.
Develop and use tracking necessary to ensure training is delivered timely and expertly by numerous people in the company responsible for delivering training.
Interacting with the executive group to address training needs and suggestions for future improvements and present those ideas to the executive group.
Responsible for coordinating all operations and support meetings. Be able to collaborate with upper management and executive group and design necessary training materials and topics for these meetings.
Ensure all training materials are up to date and consistent with one another.
Evaluate training programs' effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback and adjust accordingly. Use and continue to enhance cloud-based LMS.
Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and communication with upper management and executive groups.
Communicate with stakeholders regarding the state of training within the various cost centers of the company through the use of reports and narratives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
8+ years of leading training and development
Extensive experience with content creation and management
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus
Financial services experience a plus
Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Learning Management Systems)
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and be hands-on
Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen eye to detail
