C# Software Engineer
C# Software Engineer - Position is located in Northern NJ for a 25-year old $10B+ quantitative equity fund serving pension plans, retirement and sovereign wealth funds, Taft-Hartley plans, endowments/foundations and sub-advised funds. The firm is a signatory to the UN's Principles for Responsible Investment. After a period of being onsite to build teamwork, the position can be predominantly remote. Potential total compensation is $400k+.
This role will build the User Experience requirements in C#/DevExpress/WPF/REST tech-stack for the Next-Generation Engine, maintain the current code base, and provide both automated and manual testing of the product. Primary responsibilities include owning all front-end development activities, including researching the technology, validate upgrades of vendor libraries, and development, testing, deployment and maintenance of the product and also working closely with the development team to incorporate additional data feeds, and design and develop visual workflows. The successful candidates must possess strong C# coding skills and have an MS degree in Engineering with a strong focus on Computer Science.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Own all front-end development activities, including researching the technology, validating upgrades of vendor libraries, and developing, testing, deploying and maintaining the product. Also work closely with the development team to incorporate data feeds, and design and develop visual workflows
Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and incorporate User Experience (UX) enhancements to the product
Demonstrate a strong commitment to product quality: provide manual testing of the product as needed and automate comprehensive GUI testing
Adhere to the firm’s established process and workflow for development, testing, documentation and rollout of the product and recommend new best practices, as needed
Build scripts and utility tools to help the development team, as needed
Requirements include:
Master’s degree in Engineering with a strong focus on Computer Science
1+ years of experience in C# 7.0 or higher versions
Experience in front-end development in WPF is a strong plus
Familiarity with DevExpress WPF controls and tools is desired but not required
Able to deliver product enhancements on time with quality in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
