Deputy Director/Manager RIA Operations - Top 100 RIA wealth management & insurance firm founded in the 1980's w/ ~$15b in assets has created this position to back up COO. Firm growing at > 25%. Backed by PE firm. New Jersey location, hybrid schedule with total comp $175k - $225k.
Responsibilities
As a strategic partner with the firm's leadership, contribute to and implement the long-term operations plan to provide state-of-the-art experience to other departments, advisors and clients.
Manage operational staff and back-up the Head of RIA Operations in all activities including Executive Committee meetings.
Ensure the delivery of day-to-day operations requirements by being a servant manager and an individual contributor as needed by using KPIs to monitor the operations lifecycle including planning, testing, implementation, enhancement updates, and procedure and production releases. Examples include: security, testing, reporting, quality assurance, enhancements in coordination with IT
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 7 to 12 years of business experience with at least 5 years' experience in an RIA, brokerage or custody and 2 years as a manager
Demonstrated near-expert knowledge in operations, the software used in operations, leading and motivating operations staff and interacting with vendors, internal clients, advisors, and clients.
Team-oriented, impeccable attention to detail, excellent people, oral and written skills
